has anybody around had jury duty before? i have it tomorrow and i'm nervous because i have no idea what to expect and anxiety doesn't like the unknown. i'm hoping they're like "your ears are gauged and some of your hair is dyed blue... you need to go home, you hoodlum."

 

I got the thingy in the mail once, but I forgot to return it. I have spent every day since then expecting to be arrested and locked up but they haven't found me yet.

 

You show up, then one of the lawyers will be like fark this guy, we don't want him, then you go home. Hopefully you don't have to pay for parking like I did (do) in Detroit

Theres a good chance you'll be sent home, but you never really know what the attorneys are looking for. Just give honest answers even if they may sound crass or harsh.

 

Next time gadget

 

Take off work, lose money, pay for parking, lose more, get a box lunch. I had to go in the middle of winter once. It was f'n brutal bc Detroit doesnt plow and there was a foot of snow. I have been losing the notices ever since

 

everyone locally that i talked to was like "you should just "forget" to show up" and i was like

 

Why didn't you go to jury duty? I never got a summons. What's a summons? What's a jury? I am confused. How did I get here?

 

this has been the worst part. i can't afford for my PE to be the whole $10 they're giving me.

 

Just commit a felony and you'll never have to serve jury duty again.

 

over here, they wont even pay you unless you have to go for a second day
