    There is an old stray cat that has taken up residence in our yard and sleeps on our chicken coop. I should start taking pictures of it so I can post cat pics too.

    I love easter eggers! Their eggs are so pretty!

    Pro tip...don't wash fresh eggs unless you're going to use them right away. Just take a soft bristle brush and knock the...stuff...off of them. Otherwise it breaks the protective membrane and bacteria can get in. (I figured you probably did that for the picture here, but just in case you didn't know)

    Gotcha. A lot of people don't know that. A lot of people don't know you don't need a rooster for eggs either, I always giggle about that. :ap: In fact, my husband didn't until we started raising chickens and I told him. :emoji_joy:
