I asked my contractor what he would do if this was his house.

he said jack it up and fix it, it would drive him crazy.

Yeah, HE CAN fix it all, lol. Me? I can't. I have to have him do it. And it sounds like jacking it up can cause issues I DON'T have right now. So if it's not continuing to dip, why mess with it? I can have my door planed down and it'll close and if nothing continues to sag, then just let it go. All the windows work great now for old ass crank out single pane metal windows. (They need reglazing, but I can do that slowly myself).

I love my house with all of its issues, and now that i know it's "feet" are all in great shape then...well...I guess I can keep loving it's saggy little self.

We manage a bunch of newer homes and wowzers, some of the materials used for building them, from pipes to electrical, are shite! Knock wood, but my house is holding up better than some built in the 70s and 80s of the 1900s. Mine was built in 1949 (the original part of the house) and apparently built really well. I've had three different contractors under there over the years and they all say it looks fantastic. The "add on" part of the house was built in 51 but it's on a cement slab and all cinderblock walls so completely different construction. It's weird to basically live in "two" homes. One oldschool wooden with hardwood joisted floors, the other institutional cinderblock on cement.

How in the world do any of y'all catch these Hits? I'm still new to this so I don't expect to be good at it but I don't seem to catch anything. I have MTS hit finder (set at 900) and catcher (set at 800).

It sounds like you picked your preferred watch - go for it! I ended up going kind of off the beaten path a few years ago with my Withings Steel HR which I hemmed and hawed about because of the price but I love it.

I picked it because it had a highly rated sleep and heart rate monitor and looked more like a watch than a fit bit, etc - but it's been exceptional. I had a problem with mine almost a year after I bought it and they sent me a new one free with excellent customer service. The app is not too annoying and syncs with the one that I was using to track calories etc.

But you should definitely go with the one you want - (you already had your current one for four years and you'll likely have this one for years more) - and it's worth it to love it since you'll see it all the time
