Full disclosure. I don't like chili. I only make it for my kid and anyone else who wants to eat it.

They all love it. I must be making decent chili. I have tasted mine to make sure it wasn't too hot, or was hot enough, ,but the taste does nothing for me, lol.

Every mother has that one or two meals their grown children will always come home for mine is chili with cornbread and meatloaf either is guaranteed to get my kids to my house

 

It has to be cold outside for me to eat any kind of chili/stew/bean soup/whatever tf TPG is making.

Potatoes are not allowed in this house, so I agree with you there, I'm just sad and a little jealous. lol

 

So the baby is still home, but he's already told me my potato leek soup is his "come home for" soup. And that when he gets married I have to give his wife the recipe.

It now occurs to me that I should probably teach him to cook it himself so he doesn't expect his wife to cook, lol.

Every single time I try to make meatloaf it comes out weird. So I just take the mess and show it in some bell peppers and add some cheese on top and bake for a little bit longer. lol. I can cook anything and every recipe I come across, but not meatloaf.

 

My chili recipe exist in my great grandmothers cursive on a dog eared yellow index card that is honestly one of my most prized possessions
