Saw on reddit today someone make the statement again that most people are lying when they say they make a decent amount, that if everyone were honest we'd see it's all just beer money.

I mean they probably do. For a lot of people, mturk is just a way to make a little extra side income and isn't their main hustle, which is perfectly fine. Don't misrepresent those people are relying on mturk for a living and say that Amazon owes these people anything, though, that's annoying.
