11/18 - Miserable Monday

ugg CPIHL changed the rules for who qualifies for junior varsity in response to parents wining that our JV team was too good (not that we were even undefeated mind you just that we soundly beat their kids) As a result non of our kids qualified for JV so we have two varsity teams in two different leagues and the viola team the one that should be JV and is being forced to play up is getting slaughtered every single game.

The rule change was bad enough but last year no matter how much better we were then some of the teams the coach never let the boys just keep running up the score for the sake of running up the score and embarrassing the other team but that is exactly what is happening to our boys this year. It's going to be a long season

I'm originally from Muhlenberg county and when I worked at the jail, people called it methenberg.

 

Now that it's more difficult to buy sudafed we don't have as many meth labs. Thanks goodness. It was a pita as a landlord to find those all the time. Ugh.

Yuck, anger totally justified. The politics of sports getting in the way of actually enjoying the sport sucks so bad, especially for kids/teens.

 

Having grown up in metro-Detroit where we were competing with DC for murder capital of the country - I'm proud to say 24 years later we are now third behind St. Louis and Baltimore. Way to go Motor City!

I came across an article a little while ago that was trying to come of like a news article exposing mturk (much like the one we are all up in arms about) but 1/4 of the way through it turned into a full on ad for prolific with the author even using the word We when referring to prolific and yet so many academics commenting on it where clearly taking it at face value with out even considering the obvious bias.

I find it funny (not hahha funny) that so many requesters are up in arms about wages yet their own surveys show they don't see this as work or any compensation we get as pay.
