Looking at it I'm sure it was at one point, but they "spiced" it up and made it a patio. Still counts though.

I don't care how people decorate their homes. However, most people buy decorations, which means they are feeding the consumer machine that's slowly marching holidays further and further back every year.

Mine:

 

Christmas has been showing up in stores right after Halloween since I was a kid. And I'm 51. I remember people Grinching about it back then and I was happy to see all the pretty lights.

 

I've barely gotten started....only took 1 tub out of the closet so far

 

People love finding any excuse whatsoever to Grinch about literally anything. We always put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving because that's our personal family tradition, but if people want to decorate early, that's fine.

 

1) Totally not gunna lie. Totally getting up early tomorrow

2) Kiddo gave me permission to put up all of the Christmas outdoor decorations this weekend because it will probably start raining next Wednesday so putting up electrical items in the rain is bad. I cannot LIGHT them past testing them until Thanksgiving night, but I can totally get them up and ready to go!
