Here is the funniest shit, my daughter will tell you she's up till 2 AM because she can't sleep and has insomnia......meanwhile on non school days she won't get up till 2 in the afternoon. It's like that is not how insomnia works. I want to literally slap this meme to her face..

uhh. even with insomnia - you have to catch up eventually. Insomnia doesn't necessarily mean you don't sleep ever.

 

That's the weirdest sensation and not one I would try by choice lol

 

But she'll do it EVERY SINGLE DAY. I'd be more accepting if she just said she didn't like going to bed early than using words like insomnia meanwhile she is sleeping all the time just not when she is supposed to lol.

 

I get it while yawning in the morning sometimes. I remember trying to explain it to a friend once, and him not knowing wtf I was talking about. I think of it as a sort of crackling

not everyone can sleep on command. I'm one of those people. I lay in bed for hours and hours just trying to sleep sometimes, when I do fall asleep, I sometimes wake up many times throughout the night and either can't fall back asleep - or if I do fall back asleep I obviously don't wake up at a normal time - as I went to bed late (not by choice) and got very poor sleep.

so yeah, it's probably not by choice just saying

 

and also adjusting a sleep schedule is not easy to do.
