So I shouldn't say that before I was with my partner, I used to sleep with the window cracked open during winter, kept the heat only at 50F in my bedroom and would often wake up with snow on the floor and sometimes on my comforter?

I think it's so funny because after months of cold... really really cold weather the first day it hits 40 in our town I always see people walking around town in short sleeves and shorts. Which cracks me up because it seems so warm.

My friend and I always try to be the first to sit out on the deck at our local pub. It's usually cold but we brave it around the end of March beginning of April. People think we are crazy. Hahaha

 

Being wrapped up in a super warm comforter while the room is freezing cold is some of the most comfortable memories I have.

 

And don't I know it

We used to live in a little A-Frame in the woods on a ridge that only had solar power, a composting toilet and wood heat. I usually wore snowpants to bed and sometimes our dogs water dish would be frozen when we got up if the fire went out.

I'm pretty much fine with the sweatshirt layers now after having lived there.

 

I exclusively wear those short socks that don't cover ankles unless I have to wear dress socks, but even then I sometimes just wear shorties. Used to drive my ex-wife insane. Then I recently learned it's some inside joke among queers and it made so much more sense why I always have cold ankles in the winter. I always just thought it was from growing up in the desert, so I usually just tough it out since it's not that cold, but all this time it's from being bi.

 

@Hummingbirdee , I'm in the middle of making a cheese cracker. At this point in my 'mixing in the flour' part of the recipe, I'm almost considering switching over to a pastry blender to incorporate the second third of it. Does that seem right to you? I feel like it should be a stiff dough, but maybe not this dry?

I only own anklet black socks. All the exact same brand and size so I never have to fuck around with finding a pair, they all match

 

Wearing short socks and rolling up pant legs is one of those cliches for bi/queer people. It's totally true like most cliches.

Though I'm tying this wearing no socks and my pant legs are rolled.
