...I didn't claim it was a very good Christmas joke...

 

Update: Came home to a doggy that has no broken nails this year and was super anxious to nom nom nom on some turkey!

 

Back home from dinner with my mama and my son. Just the three of us and Mom did most of the cooking, but Kiddo and I helped with mashing potatoes and opening cans of olives .

I also took the turkey carcass off of her hands, so tomorrow starts early with me removing all of the meat from the bones, putting the bones into water to boil into a broth, then in the afternoon removing those bones, dumping the meat back in along with some veggies and some pasta and making turkey noodle soup.

And best of all MY CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ARE ON FOR REALZ NOW AND I DON'T GOTTA TURN THEM OFF!

Now I just have to make the money to pay the electric bill.

Hope y'all had a fantastic Turkey Day and for those of you into sportsball I hope the team you care about the mostest is winning! Or, at least, the team you hate the mostest is losing.

I’m in the midst of creating what I call the hipster monstrosity thanksgiving slider.

Its fried turkey, a fried white cheddar mashed potato fritter, a heap of caramelized shallot stuffing/dressing, and an Umami bacon gravy...all sandwiched between a buttermilk biscuit.

If I didn’t know you I’d say you were high when you concocted this which I suppose makes it brilliant

 

I'm going to the Winter Classic since my bro lives in Dallas. I bought the tickets and then immediately saw that the Avs play the Stars on the 28th and I'm flying in on the 29th. They wanted $125 to change the flight.

Probably lucky anyways since the entire roster will just AHLers by time that game rolls around.

lol said I'd give the dog a bite of everything that's dog safe to eat, his plate is still a full proper Thanksgiving plate.
