Tons of people do it, I have a BIL that thinks that if you haven't used something in 3 months it's automatically trash because you obviously don't need it enough to use it often. I want my house clean and not cluttered but that takes it to an entire different level.

My parents did the opposite. They kept all my stuff thinking that some of it may be worth something, but nope, my ninja turtles and ghostbusters are pretty worthless. And my tens of thousands of mass produced baseball cards from the 90s are nothing more than great kindling for fires.


My sister got some money for her littlest pet shop though..

 

I'll use a game example, if you have a N64 Conkers Bad Fur day, in a box it's worth 100 bucks, cartridge only is still 50-60.

 

I think it's kind of silly hoarding a bunch of crap in the hopes that maybe you'll make $300 off it in like 30 years. Such a waste of space that could be used for something useful, like building cardboard castles for your dog.
