Following a weak Wednesday and the disaster that was yesterday, barring the best batch of the year, daily and therefore weekly are both now well beyond my capacity. With the Christmas misery likely to start soon, monthly is looking pretty grim too.

I suppose the only plausible solution is to remove the limiters and start to grind out work at my maximum capacity for the remainder of the year.

 

Or take a few days rest and go outside and enjoy the island you bought with turk money

 

Remember a few months ago when you acted like diapers would be no biggie?
Those meltdowns are your problem, trust me. You'll be thinking back on the days the kid couldn't talk. Missing the days where your biggest issue was "how did you get poop in your hair AND in your belly button?!" instead of "you asked for toast why are you screaming about the toast I made you"

 

I vote Diaper blow out (Mom of a 6 yo, a 4 yo and 1 yo). After a blow-out babies are usually calm Toddlers never calm down unless they are asleep.

I used to babysit for long weeks for this couple that had a 2 year old and a 4 year old up until they were 4 & 6.

The 4/6 year old had a tantrum so bad that she proceeded to hit me in public and everyone looked at me like I was some sort of failed teenage mom.

Nope, gimme the diaper any day. Well, until that kid got older and purposely took her diaper off and hurled it at the walls. I quit shortly after and heard they had a problem ever finding someone to watch their feral kids again. I love kids, but those kids got progressively worse over the couple years I babysat them and even my teenaged self knew that was a hardcore no situation. My dad told me to quit like 3 months before I did. It took a child throwing dirty diapers at me while her sister wildly slapped me with one of those stretchy hand toys from the quarter machine. I grabbed it midair when she tried to hit me with it again, told her to drop it, and she pulled so hard it broke- and then claimed her dad would kill me. He did not. But I promptly told them to find a new baby sitter.


They called the kid Pokey, like as in the clay horse from Gumby...



Feral cats are like jv compared to those kids.
