is he a senior or junior. I know it is exhausting but trying to keep pushing till he gets that diploma then the rules flip. We had the I got you to graduation your and adult now talk. If you live here get a job and get it together cause it's not my responsibility to make sure you get to work on time etc..

He couched surfed between friends for the better part of two years because he didn't want to live by the rules we set for him as an adult living in our house. We checked on him, invited him for dinner regularly and even picked him up and made a bed on the couch a few times when he had no place else to go but you can't force someone to take their life seriously at some point THEY need to do that.

I always feel for the kids. Not the dick ones, but the ones from the paternity tests. Specifically the ones where the guy turns out to be the father. You know some day those kids are gonna find the clip where their dad;

A: Was certain they weren't his and
B: Was (often times) devastated to find out they were his.

If someone showed me video evidence of my father not wanting me that badly, I'd write him off pretty much that day.

Like the others have said it sounds like he has some deep lying mental health issues. It would be best if he could be seen by another professional but of course with him being so close to 18 it's basically up to him.
