12/13 - Flabbergasted Friday!

I had a really fun experience with my red eye to Austin. Everything else was a hot mess (like, say, someone booking a flight that lands before the rental car offices open so you just twiddle your dang thumbs...) but I was...very relaxed, the airport was totally empty in Vegas, and I somehow got myself into one of those members/pilots lounge thingies with free food and a tiny bar. I think I may have just walked confidently in? The bot finally found me with my hands full of food and drinks.

Everything else sucked, but that part was nice!

Had a similar experience when they had to pull 6 perm teeth and 5 baby teeth when I was in the 4th grade. Lidocaine isnt terribly effective for me and I'm horrified of needles and yanking adult teeth out is already shitty enough on its own. They didn't do much at all and I lost my ever loving mind. When I needed a root canal in college, I found a dental practice of all attractive male dentists (all related, hot dentists was a family business apparently) and told them how freaked out I was...they gave me valium beforehand and then happy gas all the way thru. I went wobbling out of the office like a champ. I also repeatedly told my dentists how good looking they all were while doped up...probably every time I had happy gas for the next 6 years or so

I haven't found any dentists that good out here yet and I need to go in soon

 

My sister is 6 years older than me, much bigger than my runty little ass, and delighted in "helping" me with loose teeth.

I was due to have a couple more babies pulled after the 11 they had already yanked, before they could put my braces on, and I told my sister, "Listen, we both know you can get these things out of my mouth."

Yeah, I didn't need that dentist appointment

I wasn't sure when the right time to post these might be, but what the heck.
My two housemates both lost their beloved long-term cats this past year, and
as sad as that was, I'm glad that I overcame my shyness to stick my camera in
people's faces and got what I hope will be happy memorable portraits of both
of them while there was still time. I call the first one "Bosom Buddies", and
the other "Story Time for the Old Kitten". (These are fairly large photo files, so
