I'm new to this whole mTurk thing, and new around here... but I can honestly say that this is the worst one I have sat through so far. I kept clicking on the next thinking that had to be the end and... more questions. It's everyone's choice to do it, but even as a new person, I highly recommend avoiding it... That was just torture.

I'm away from work burning some vacation days before the end of the year, so I'm going all out on it to start... 4 days in and I'm at 349 hits and just shy of $25... can't wait until I get out of the probationary period and cross 1000 hits. Hopefully things will start to look up a little bit from there. The forums and guides here have been a huge help in keeping me focused on the long-term and suffering through rating pictures to make sure I get my 100 a day .

You seem to be approaching it with the right attitude. Keep it up and I'm sure you'll cross that threshold soon enough. don't worry too much if you don't find a lot of work right now, it's not uncommon to find less work during the December/January period, especially if you're new to turking, but keep it up, use this forum well (it's got tons of useful advice from seasoned workers). So far, I don't think it's been too bad. I'm suffering through the probationary period and we'll see how it is when I get past the 1000 threshold. My wife's been wondering what the heck I've been doing on the computer and told her about it. She asked if it was for real. I told her Amazon is behind it, so I don't think I'll have any issues. She might try suffering through the probationary period just after the first of the year if things go well .
