oh idk what HIT you're talking about, as it doesn't seem like the type o' HIT I'd like to do, but I wouldn't feel bad if you're giving honest ideas and doing your best as you see fit for 10 cents

I'm all about ball jokes and stuff and appreciate them, but probably a good idea to consider that requesters might not appreciate balls as much as you or I. May not be worth risking account blocks and stuff for 10 cents.

So even if you're not OK with getting paid 10 cents, well at least do it seriously or just not do it at all.

They are asking for ideas, they are getting ideas. Good ones at that, and exactly along the lines as what they are asking for.

 

Do HITs similar to Computer Vision Turk still exist? The tracing ones? Miss doing batches compared to surveys

there are a lot of tracing HITs and bounding box HITs out there by various requesters that post. I see them daily, not necessarily big batches, and not necessarily the same as CVT or Noah or whatever, but yes they exist. Just keep your eyes pealed if that's the type of HITs you like to do

How can I recognize a batch better? Just by number of HITs? I know some of them are garbage, but the only ones worth it seem to be surveys, Keep in mind I only have ~800 approved HITs

are you using a scraper? If not - you should be. mturksuite is a good starting point.

Number of HITs for sure will tell you if it's a batch or not, and to decide whether or not they're worth doing - just trial and error I suppose. Accept them and if they're worth your time - keep going, if not - well don't do them I guess

 

Yes using MTS. Working great so far for that. I only use "Once" for hit catcher for 99% of things

 

Guess I'm not missing out on these huge, secret batches that I'm envisioning

 

Holy cow. Was out for a while and only just saw this. Yep, that's pretty horrifying.
I made it to 3 minutes and had to take a break. Since there're only about 7 hours
until I have to go to sleep, I probably won't watch the rest until tomorrow!

 

the more you keep at turking, the more you'll learn. Over time you'll start developing an include list of requesters that you'll keep an eye out for and do their HITs when they post. In the mean time, just do what pays well really. Be careful of rejections when you''re still below 1000 approved HITs. - a batch of rejections can and will dicker your in betweens pretty quickly.
