'Horse pellets'??? Geesh, I know some people find that stuff halfway pleasant smelling, but.....
And you can hardly call them 'pellets' anyway! Rabbits, yes. Horses, no. :dunno:

Don't. The youngest one will continually fight with the middle one. When the middle one runs away crying, he'll turn his attention to the oldest one who just wants to be left alone in her perpetual angst-ridden sulk. The cat hair - oh, the cat hair. It will never be out of your lives. You need more litter boxes, and they'll all try to use the same one at the same time. They fight over the food. One doesn't like this kind of cat food. Another will only eat this kind of cat food. The third will throw up whatever cat food the other two choose to eat.

This is why I only have one child.

I wish my cat wasn't such a diva and refused to use the one I got. It would have been much better for my small apartment. He hates any kind of lids on his throne box.

How often are you scooping? Location? I personally find ultra last is the best in terms of smell, multi cat is the best all around, and double duty IF you can find the low tracking version is my one true love. I'm super careful cause anything with a ton of dust or weird crap will make Bearnie up and nearly die.

How I have my litter box setup:

It's in a closet of it's own now, tho. Honestly, something like that reallllly cuts the smell down in general, if you can close it off. You can even do something like this if you don't have a slidey closet door. I call it the cat shitter closet, it's very classy.

I've found diet/hydrating is also a HUGE thing, because if SOMEONE, who soooo isn't matt, slips them crappy wet food or junk food, the smell is fricken outrageous compared to what I feed them. Not to be gross, but what goes in must come back out and if it's something giving them loosey goosey poops or a higher amount or turds, because it's not great food, the smell is highly noticable. Scooping often is a thing, too! We do 2-3 times a day, and even when I had 2 cats, I still did that because it goes thru less litter/cuts down your smell. We have a litter genie, but also just have an empty plastic litter container for the clumps, and sealing it off also definitely cuts down on stinkies. I also have a febreeze plugin and a couple of those mats that catch cat litter and it's managed well here. I usually get compliments that my house smells nice and my floors are suspiciously clean hehe. Oh, resetting your litter box every 2-4 weeks will also help a lot as well.

Cheeto, my thumb having ash hole cat, was the same way. So I started putting the litter he liked in the covered one, and the litter he hated in the uncovered. About a week and he gave up on old box.

    LOL!

My cats currently do this with my dog:

This is the only time they get along. They hate each other. Well, the gray one hates the orange one, and the orange one, who really loves everyone and all things except birds, has learned to hate the gray cat for self preservation.

But they often gang up on the dog: (three animals, two feeding areas, dog gets left out.)

I tried several methods for a few weeks and nothing worked. But he was full-grown when I rescued him so I figured I'd let him do his thing and live with it. Otherwise he's a great cat.
