this just happened to me and i don't like it and i want it to stop

 

We're here in Florida, in an old house with shitty insulation. There are every kind of creature in our neighborhood and we live fairly close to downtown. But it's Florida and it's wild around here- tons of trees and foliage- I listen and watch the coons fighting at night- catch them walking around the back yard- opossum family lives in the big tree as do raccoons.

Just do what I did and you will never have a problem with mice/rats of snake again!!

 

As long as they stay up there...I'd be fine if I didn't have to hear the death throes of their victims and the slithering.

Oh no I put a climbing snake in that spoiler. lol. I was referring to my cat herd, but I will admit, someone dumping almost 2 dozen cats on me is not the most cost effective to solve the problem right away, but we have copperheads, rattlesnakes, and cottonmouths (when we get enough rain and our pond fills up) so it's worth the money to me to make sure my kid doesn't get bit.

 

OH, gotcha. Yeah...I have one cat and that is plenty for me!

 

We have 3 cats, but they're lazy. Won't even go after a moth flying around my computer at night. I'm like, get him and they just look at me.

 

I've lucked out and most of these are REALLY good hunters, so it DEFINITELY helps.

It costs over 100k to get a snake bite (around here) treated, and that's if we can even get her there on time and she doesn't stop breathing. Being 30 mins away from a hospital REALLY makes that difficult, so it's something we're super vigilant about or try to be at all times. All good snakes are allowed to go on about their way. lol
