    Speaking of filing taxes, the IRS and state treasury departments are being super annoying this year.

    I filed end of February. IRS kicked back my federal claiming a health care subsidy I didn't claim. Except I didn't have a health care subsidy last year. Finally got my refund Friday.

    State kicked back my return wanting extra proof of my kids parentage (because people have been claiming kids they don't actually have guardianship of) and making me prove my Turk income further. Luckily I got a 1099-K this year. But they also wanted a transcript of my federal, because they didn't want to pay a refund if the IRS didn't have to. So I had to prove that the IRS approved my Earned Income Credit. Sent that out and they claim it'll take 90 more days to review it. So I'm looking at a July-August refund on a February submitted state return. With no interest paid to me. Asshats.

    actually there probably is. It's a matter of the extra letter mostly, and me wanting to hang onto my money as long as possible, and be a larger pain the ass to the IRS
