Got the same and was scared to submit until I saw your post.
I went ahead and messaged them thanking them so much for doing this. I reviewed and returned without so much of a second thought.
This made my day, to be honest.

Edit: I wanted to clarify that I reviewed and returned the original HIT because I also waited forever for other participants and just gave up on it. Forgot all about it until this showed up.
