01/28 - Tricky Tuesday!

Went to the Chinese place for cheap buffet food. No one was coughing yet thankfully. We saw the absolute state of a man though. Looked easy 50 but he got an entire plate of just steak. He picked the steak out of the pepper steak. A full plate. Left all the veggies behind.
Worth the corona.

Had a squirrel break in to one of our switch cupboards and chew through a bunch of the cables once, he eventually hit the power cable. We had to do a root cause analysis for it for the head honchos as it caused a pretty significant outage. We included a picture of the deceased squirrel in the appendix of the report.

 

takes 2 weeks to show symptoms. so RIP

 

It's easy to takes shots at ol' Mturk, but it's always nice to hear someone has been able to use this work to pay off something hanging over their head.

I've had a couple really bad days of the 'I'm genuinely losing my mind' variety.
Not being able to catch any HITs to save my life today hasn't helped. Should have just taken an honest 'mental health day'.
At any rate, I'd like to apologize for being very 'scattered' in terms of like and LOL responses to posts today.
Hope I didn't make anyone feel left out, since I always appreciate all of you so much!

 

It astounds me how often people are stupid.

I also did tech support on an iphone this morning and no one would use words, again.

"PLEASE STOP SPEAKING IN PRONOUNS! USE WORDS, HAND ME THE PHONE, OR I'M WALKING AWAY."

 

Lived in the country as a high schooler. Well water. One day the pump quit working. We had no water. They were checking everything, tearing it apart, all parts tested out as working.

Dug deeper and in the recesses between two contactors was a dead, tiny toad. Removed former toad and all was well again (ba-dum-tiss).

 

Good mental health evening to you! I actually feel a bit like that myself right now. I think I may join you in a mental health evening...
