Lucy weighs like 6 lbs, so it's easy to "blanket surf" her, as she will just ride the wave that you create by moving.

For a while.

Then she gets pissed.

And attacks any lump under the covers, whether it's your body part or a pillow or a wrinkle. She just kangaroos around the bed attacking willy nilly until I stop moving. It's pretty effective on her part, lol. I tend to find a comfortable position fast when she starts acting like a pogo stick with needles.

I wish I had that! Beans will demand pets/scratches and then flop over on her side to weigh down on the scratching hand. I can SOMETIMES get her to fall asleep with her head on my hand but if you move it's over. She will sleep on the bed too but if you move it's over. If you breath wrong, it's over. If you look at her too long, it's over. Then she huffs and trots off the bed to go sleep on her stinky cat cube.

When my dog tries to sleep between me and the wall, he likes to put his massive huge why the hell is this so big head on my hand and arm. At which point I just give up. It's over. There's no winning there. It belongs to him now.

 

I've had cats like that. Lotta is half way like that. If she's the only animal on the bed she will be more chill with me moving. But if there is another animal on the bed with us and I even take a deep breath she's off like a shot.

I'm a good cat slave with cats like that. I don't move for fear of waking the cat.

Lucy, however, is an ashhole. For several evenings now she's decided to sleep where my feet go when I finally get to sit down, relax, and put them up. So last night I put my feet up and tried to scoot her over. She got all huffy and glared at me, moved the smallest fraction of an inch, spread that tiny cat body out to be bigger than I thought possible, and tried to push my feet off. We went back and forth like that all evening. I literally fought my cat for my foot rest for at least 90 minutes. The 40 other comfy places for cats to sleep in our living room weren't an option for her apparently.

 

Do what I do. Put your feet on top of the cat.
