Okay, enough of that! Well at least for another minute or two.
You just made me realize that I've been wondering about something for a while.
Since a number of people here seem to do very well with what I'll call 'maintaining a consistently good hourly', I couldn't
help thinking that there're a lot of HITs out there, particularly some of the 'screeners', which don't look especially appealing on the surface.
I'm wondering if people do these 'strategically', even when they know they're going to be screened-out.
Of course this is an academic question and I will be secretly in love with you forever, whether you're a vegetable person or not and however you make efficient use of the 'system'!

 

Help if possible please? I just updated Firefox and when I do a HIT and get the to key generation page, instead of the key in the box I get the below message..does anyone know how to fix the sttings in Firefox to fix this?

It feels so strange to read a research paper written in "I" instead of "we" or "it".

 

When you're the only person in the group project who did any work lmao

 

My academic gut instantly rewrote that to read, "...it was found that..."

Personal pronouns were a no-no unless it was the discussion section and we were recommending future research on what we just did. And even then I was afraid of getting my hand slapped.

 

I mean, there's only one name on the paper, so it makes sense (although it's weird to have a "lab" alone, and his profile shows he's a lecturer and not a professor, so...), but yeah it feels so weird to read!

 

And now damn, PTSD for the graduate program days, lol. Damn that was tough!

 

Don't get too hung up on comparisons, you're doing great and only getting better!

 

Yeah I always go with "results show" or "data indicated" or w/e, but rarely personal pronouns. I'm gonna have a hard time going through this one

 

I honestly (mostly) just get stoked for the higher PE's people get. I think it's freaking awesome.

 

Okay buddy, I don't know wth is going on, but at least please be consistent....

 

It's like when a story is written in the present tense. "So, Jackie says to Liam that the car has broken down. Liam replies that they should call an Uber, which they promptly do. Their driver arrives at exactly the wrong time so he circles the block four times trying to find a parking spot..."
