Out of curiosity. Do you mean your EU friends are happier than your American friends, or that your Canadian friends are happier than your EU friends?

 

My take is this and this is just my opinion:

Make people have rights in the workplace (unions etc...) and you have happier less stressed workers.

Give people access to healthcare that doesn't force them to to weight their finances against their health and you get less stressed people.


Just my take. Especially having been on both sides.
