hey guys, relatively new to this board, coming out of lurking...(waves at all)

I have a question. I got a rejection tonight by a requester for no reason other than he already had met his quota, this was his message:
"I appreciate your participation. Since previous 400 participants are completed my survey, I politely request to reject the survey."

Any clue on how to handle this would be great - since no wrong was done on my part. Bomin Paek was requester. Thanks.

 

I got masters back 11 months ago

 

Contact the Requester and simply state:

Request Denied

 

"politely request to reject the survey"

 

Email the requester, he may be new. Otherwise, the only thing I really know you can do is review them and warn others.

Sorry to hear about the rejection. TV recently launched a rejection dispute thingy which could be helpful: https://blog.turkerview.com/building-bridges-turkerview-launches-bridge-rejections/ Sounds like the requester might be new to the platform, so they might just not realize how rejections affect workers. I think just reaching out politely could be useful, and you can also leave a review on TV to let others know.

 

I think my first step would be to write a polite email explaining how rejections hurt workers and that you spent the time doing his survey so you deserve to be compensated.

I didn't see the requester on TV so I'm not sure how much money is involved or if there is an IRB, but if it's a small amount and you can eat the rejection I wouldn't do much past that(not because you don't deserve to be paid, but it might not be worth your time to follow through). If there's an IRB, check Hit Tracker if you have MTS installed then you can contact them if you don't get satisfaction.
