I know those hits were being used for crappy stuff, but I kinda want to do another 10K of them.

 

What were they used for?

 

I actually don't think the actual purpose of the hits was that crappy, but clearly too many people disagreed. Silly morals about things that don't matter holding back the advancement of technology etc. etc.

 

Weren't they trying to use AI to generate videos? It was something along the lines of that. I remember Mashable posted an article about them.

Stuff we were doing was mostly for object and action recognition.

They also did that facial recognition thing for police that wasn't working that well. Apparently they could only narrow some people down to about 80 candidates, so there could be a lot of mistaken identity.

 

I did like 7 billion of those HITs. Can I add to my CV "Was involved in planning and coordinating a series of advanced drone strikes by the Department of Defense" ?
