Yep. Because this state doesn't have enough housing. I have people driving to my area to rent and then driving back to where Google and Tesla are to work.

Our governor is currently working on bills and regulations to make it easier for people to build more housing. And Google has pledged money to build more around their campus.

Stanford tried to build on land they owned, but the permit fees were in the millions so they bailed. Governor is trying to fix stuff like that so it's feasible to build.

95% of the reason our prices are so high is lack of housing. Supply and demand. The supply is too low for the population so the price goes up.

Meanwhile, I have three two bedroom units available for a really good price in this market and NO ONE can qualify because of their credit score. Everyone has the income, but their credit is in the 400s. These places have sat empty since before Christmas.

They're great. New granite counter tops, new laminate flooring. Good paint jobs, all are in duplexes so only one neighbor is attached. Good neighborhood (I'd live there).

For real: I won't rent out shitty places. We turn shitty places down all the time. I will only market places I'm proud to show. It's my company's reputation and my reputation on the line, so I don't go in for slum lord maintenance.
