02/22 - 80's Flashback Saturday!

Matt can do things for himself if he absolutely has to, and I'm sure he will end up hiring a maid and probably a dog walker when he ends up moving out of state and I stay behind, but he just doesn't want to. I don't mind most of the time, just on occasion when someone is hollering at the top of their lungs for pancakes before I've had me tea, and I'm thinking about murder a bit.

 

I like to say I'm the glue of our household, you may not notice all the things I do but if I didn't do them you'd notice right away and life would become much harder for everyone else,

 

This the same with Dave and like I said he took on a lot after my accident so I grumble, roll my eyes and indulge his quirks

 

Same, and no one appreciates everything I do around the house. I'll absolutely never get a full time job because then I'll be doing everything around the house AND working 40 hours a week!

 

I had this conversation with my wife one day, I was like I'm not going to get a job and do all the shit I do around here too. "But you put so much time into turk" "yes but I can do that and my house stuff at the same time" "oh well we'll pitch in and do stuff around here so you have to do less"

Which usually leads to a response like this......."uh huh after 10 years it's really hard for me to believe that one"

 

every family has that person. It use to solidly be me but it is more evenly split now out of necessity though my roll just shifted from doing things to reminding people they needed done. I mean seriously if you have to go shopping cause your out of drawers its time to do laundry.

Same same. Matt contibutes in other ways, so I give him shit for screeching about pancakes this early in the morning, but I mostly indulge him. I mean, he usually just eats whatever dinner I make cause it's me and I don't do anything half ass, but hoo boy, when he wants a cookie or pancakes, that boy is intense

Tbh, I'm sure I'll miss his shenans when we are living apart, tho House will probably feel too quiet!

Yeah, this recent batch has had some real winners for lack of a better term.

 

I don't have an electric mixer, it's the perfect excuse to not whip anything unless it's something I really want to make

 

Eventually, yeah! Matt likes to move every few years and is already looking at lateral job moves in different states...I'm back in college this summer and had put it off last time he wanted to move across the country. We're just growing apart cause we want different things, we know it, we talked about it, it's life. We're ok! But, we're not getting married anymore and we're more...super best friends than anything, so that's just how things are now!

 

I told my friend, "Look! I made you peanut butter cup salted caramel tiramasu!"

he goes, "Is it really tiramasu when you add those things? It's the best thing I've ever eaten, but I don't think you can call it tiramasu anymore."

Well, it's traditional tiramasu PLUS those two additions, so how bout you eat it or I choke you with an espresso soaked ladyfinger? HUH! HUH?!

I'd like to move somewhere with a more consistent weather pattern...however big long moves consistently are something I'd find annoying. We moved down the street last time and I hated every second of it, just to much shit.
