Contacted a survey related requester for the first time in my 6000+ HIT... "career"? because one of their timed segments messed up and screwed me out of a hypothetical dollar (telling them to fix that part so other people don't get impacted, not sure about getting compensated)

You never know, sometimes they put out make up HITs or even give you a bonus. I'd say it's always worth a try contacting them about problems or issues.
