My mom has one and I like it.

I was looking at a 2016 and a 2017 Certified Used. The 2017 was only $16.5!!! Wow. I am very, very tempted. With a little bit down I can afford those payments.

 

One of the last things dad and I did was buy my 17 Buick Regal. It was my inheritance from his dad's estate. It's a sad/happy thing everytime I get in the car.

 

Yeah, I got a great deal on a lease during the last week of December. It is pretty bare-bones and I don't love the steering wheel - it has an awkward middle to it that makes it hard for you to put your hands around it in certain positions. I also wish it had a front camera and not just a rear one - but it kicks butt in snow and on ice and holds a ton of groceries for its size.

 

I have a 2008 Rav4 and love it. I wouldn't sell it for all of the pennies on mturk.

 

The one other thing that drives me bananas is that it has the Environmental "shut the car off when it's stopped and turn it back on when the light changes" deal built in. You have to override it with a button every time you start the car. I'm all for this feature in concept, but I find that when it shuts off and then turns back on there is a delay and lurches into traffic. I usually override it now but if I forget and am backing out of my driveway (busy street, fast traffic) - the slight delay of it restarting I am not a fan of.

I know this sounds like I don't like it - I do overall, but there are a few things I definitely would change.

But the price is right, good warranty and service, and it handles the road really well in all kinds of conditions.

I have a Ford and the only thing i can say is no. The only thing they're good at doing is extending warranties on known lemons and continuing to manufacture cars with known problems. I've heard nothing but good things about Rav4s, but granted, leafs is my only source for that. I say do eeet.
