02/27 - Thorny Thursday!

I looked at that exact desk when I was deciding what I wanted....that's interesting...here's my setup...





I obviously need lots of screens.

 

I really feel like it's supposed to be Friday. This week is taking forever! Friday! Friday!

Also, we hired someone at work yesterday. She seems great so far. She's actually the new wife of a former tenant (they weren't together when we last managed where the former tenant lives) and we really adored this tenant, she became almost like family.

She will start tomorrow so let's hope this works out!

 

I'd have taken the job since office work is easy for me but I live about half a country away.

 

He's done that for years. Sometimes in the summer he'll sleep until 10. He's a real night owl though. We keep him on a regular schedule during the school year though.

 

Booo, got the Xbox to install and update last night and boot up into the menu finally. Today it is crapped out again. Must be a faulty HHD

 

That was the main reason I didn't go with it, I love the clean and sleek look of glass and steel but with a bunch of equipment it doesn't have the clean look anymore.

 

i need your feel good musics. either on like youtube or an amazon prime playlist if those share easy.

I often wish I could hire someone from the forums! Y'all know I wouldn't Grinch if you kept an eye on turk during work hours so you'd have the best of both worlds.

Except. You'd see how often your boss posts here during work hours and that might lose me some respect at work, lol.

 

I will always remember when my sons X died, he called from college and was sobbing like a family member died...

 

Kiddo was this way for the most part, too. I kinda "trained" him to enjoy sleeping in. He's a night owl now and will sleep until 10 or so on the weekends and on school breaks.

I got lucky. I am NOT a morning person and was worried he'd be one of those 5:30 am kids. Well, he was, but since I nursed him for such a long time I would just whip that out and he'd happily go back to sleep for a few hours.

 

Oh no, it was his Xbox the thing in life that means more to him than anything..he begged everyone to give him money for a new one...he then took all of his birthday money and his food money for the month and bought a new one...the Xbox>food.

 

Just paint it black. Could probably even add cute designs on top of it. I was going to do that with my current desk then I decided that was actual effort.

 

I have a black glass tv stand.....its not easy to hide cables with anything designed with the glass and steel look even if it's black.

 

I really envy the setup a bunch of you have. I dream about that. Some day! My desk is Kiddo's desk right now (well, it's truly HIS desk as his father and grandfather built it decades ago. His father gave it to me before Kiddo was ever a twinkle in our eyes, and now I'm going to give it to Kiddo one day).

When he goes to college I'm claiming my desk back (for a while) and getting more than just this:



I'm sure the cat butt in the way won't change.
