02/27 - Thorny Thursday!

Until we moved here 2 years ago, my turk setup was a laptop on the living room couch.

 

I was already looking for music so no big deal. Having to make calls about my abuse claim relaly fucks with my brain.

 

That's me right now, except it's a chair, lol.

I don't mind. It's working for now, I'm fine with it for the time being. But I will upgrade! Laptop will be my main computer still so I can take it anywhere, screens will just be secondary. I have a second computer under my bed that Kiddo isn't using so I'll probably set that up just to run the second screens unless I can figure out how to set up more screens attached to a laptop (there's probably a way?)

You can HDMI a monitor to your laptop and use it as a second screen. As long as you have that port and unless you're laptop is like 10 years old or a chromebook with no ports, you have it.

 

I do, in fact, have an HDMI port. Nice.

This is essentially what I use my Steam Link for. Sometimes I play video games, but mostly it's just for watching anime.

 

I would get nothing done. I would spend my whole day under that table trying to make the cats move and taking pictures and laughing.

 

you can get at least 1 extra screen on a laptop for some 2. Dave's set up from work is a laptop with a docking station and 2 external monitors but have no idea what that costs as it was supplied to him. When I turked from a Chromebook I got something to plug into my USB port that I could then plug an HDMI cable to and hook up a second monitor

 

My tv is in same room as my desk (I have a huge living room and only one other person I live with so...it works out)

So I just need more computer screens!!
