02/28 - Floating Futon Friday!

They make good vegan cheese but they're mostly small companies so you have to be in a very vegan area to find a pizza place with it. There's a company that makes vegan cheddar slices called violife and I make grilled cheese sandwiches every once in a while. It's absurdly expensive but I turk so I'm rolling in it.

Yeah violife is pretty good! I like follow your heart too. I just don't like that ultra creamy, almost gooey/gluey texture when they melt - never tried a grilled cheese tho, do you find it gets gooey? I mean they're also not especially healthy so it's probably better to just stick with veggies lol

 

I forgot you were vegan and asked you to bring bbq...I am a terrible human being.

 

You can bbq veggies. I've done it.

 

put a drumstik in the microwave for a minute and then dump some frosted flakes in it

This is asheville- we have vegan bbq (also I'm only sorta mid-transition to vegan... I just can't kick the habit lol)

I've wanted to try it since I saw it yesterday. It seems like one of those things that's either going to be terrible or the best thing ever.

Oh yeah that's like a once every few months deal for me. It gets pretty gooey when I make them but that kind of fits with the grilled cheese haha. I just eat fruits and vegetables with a lot of beans and lentils most of the time but I get cravings for crap sometimes and make my heart attack grilled cheese sandwiches.

 

@Buzby once tried to convince us that cauliflower with buffalo sauce is close to buffalo wings.
