I have that exact one it's been going strong for 2 years now and you can use any mug you already have since there is no raised edges. But do make sure to get a set of silicone lids to help hold the heat in, it greatly improves the performance of the warmer plus coffee stays warm longer even off the warmer

Bonus the lid keeps any cats that may be roaming your house from washing their face in your coffee.
