so far so good. our daughter's first birthday was a disaster, but other than that, everything's good and we're just waiting and hoping the hospital wont be all crazy when it's time

My eldest's bday is 9-11. His first birthday was "the" 9-11. I worked on a military base, locked down, and missed most of his birthday. Thankfully, yes, too young to remember.

 

My cat's birthday is the 4th of july so i always joke with him about how everyone's celebrating his birthday with the fireworks and stuff. (He doesn't understand the joke though as his cat brain is very small)

Idk what point I'm trying to make, but you probably shouldn't do this with your son.

 

I'll heed that advice.

 

Nevermind. Take him to a 9/11 memorial for his birthday party, and crash the place. Make it epic

It was kinda rough on him when he was a little boy. His dad was military, and I spent most of his first 12 years of life employed by the military. So he felt kinda bad about celebrating on that day. I explained it was two very separate things and it was ok to remember and honor those we lost. But it was ok to celebrate life as well. He's fine now with it...but he was so tender hearted back then.

 

I hope my joking isn't too offensive, sometimes I have no filter and post really stupid shit but I mean well
