04/03 - Fido Friday!

I rearranged my bedroom better, did a deep clean, and put some mood lighting in a couple days ago and that has helped a little. I was falling asleep on the couch for weeks so I could see if any hits dropped every time I woke up but I realized that wasn't a net positive, it wasn't worth getting a few extra hits in to feel sore and exhausted the whole next day and have diminished efficiency.

 

I am not finding it it is net positive to keep fishing for hits later in the day these days

 

I’ll have to look into mood lighting. And I definitely know where you’re coming from. It’s easy to get sucked into checking on MTurk every so often to see what hits are up. after while it can drive you insane if you let up. plus a lack of sleep. It can be a mess

 

I mean it is always nice to make money but sometimes it's nice to watch TV and do mindless things

 

Anyone else getting email bombed by "The Nielsen Company"? I took their survey and they just keep emailing...

Using the "Night Light" feature of Windows which takes out the blue hue is also really helpful. IPhone also has it but its called "Night Shift" on there. It's a noticeable difference for the eyes, they feel way less strained when using screens late at night

 

But it fucks up the color

 

It's so hard for me to use this feature. I know of the benefits but exactly what you said. I mainly game at night while using mturk and it messes the color so bad I can't stand it.

 

I’ve actually never tried the “night shift” option on the iPhone. messing with it now. I’ll leave it on tonight before I try and sleep. I haven’t used “night light” on windows. I honestly didn’t even know that was a thing. I’ll take a look into that. Thanks for the tips.

 

If you have windows 10 then just mouse over the task bar and the bottom right most button should be a text bubble for notifications, if you left click that one time a night light option should pop up.
