    I signed up for SNAP as soon as the first case hit my county last month. Just had the interview this morning and they approved so it's like a 5 week time frame (they give you it for the spent waiting as well). If people are looking at unemployment, it's probably helpful to apply for that as well if you can

    They're doing the best they can, the unemployment system was not meant to handle this many people filing at once. Our local office even hired an extra 350 people to handle the overflow. Could it be better? Yes. Does this mean they aren't doing their best to keep it under control? No.

    I figure if they were prepared for the mass influx that is going on at all times then there would be a lot of wasted payroll sitting around waiting for a catastrophe to happen. Not the best way to have tax dollars spent. So they work with what they have. It will all smooth out.

    One of our senators posted this on Reddit, and I'd imagine it's the same for the other states as well, just be patient, though I know it can be frustrating since I've been hearing horror stories of people taking dozens of tries just to get through.

    I have a firm belief that the direct deposit system will work as expected here. There is too much to be politically lost if it doesn't (Please no one turn that into a discussion). As far as paper checks though ya Weeg is right. Long time.
