There are just so many out there and the price point can vary greatly for the same specs. I bought a high end router like 10 years ago that finally died and haven't researched them in that long. You google for info, find recommendations, then hop on amazon to price check and the reviews are all over the place. From 1 start to 5 with like 8k reviews.

 

No.... my job requires Mac address authentication for internet to work. Hook up one of these idiotic things it won't even try to grab an IP which is helpful when it does becaus then I can just harvest the mac off of that. Mac on bottom is never right. Had to walk a customer through logging in and configuring the whole thing. The "App" they say to download and use will not let you set up manually. Failure!

If you guys are looking for a good home router, I can recommend this. It's a bit on a pricier side, but definitely worth it. Your whole family can watch 4k at the same time with no problems.
