    Oh I definitely went into culture shock. I couldn't understand what anyone was saying when we first moved to Maine.

    One time my husband had dropped off our chainsaw to a local guy to be fixed and I went to pick it up. I literally had no idea what he was telling me and eventually I bolted and went back to my car and drove away. I completely panicked.

    When husband went back, repairman was like - I kept telling her the chainsaw was over in that corner, but then she ran away. lol.

    I HATE the way I sound!! I'm an alto, so my voice isn't all THAT girly, first of all...and then I sound SO. COUNTRY. I think @jessers is the only one that's heard my voice...and I didn't have a choice then. I needed help with something...but I was so dreading her hearing it :emoji_laughing:

    The worst part is sometimes I'll try to not talk like myself and I sound really weird.

    Ever seen one of those videos of a dog barking and people are like "omg, he's saying love you!" or some other phrase?

    I sound exactly like that with extra twang and I want to die inside
