Well...it's just like, no matter what you say or how loud you say it, all your words go into a blank and bottomless void of a pit where nobody hears you, nobody pays attention to you, and everything you utter is meaningless.

So you should ask @dan what it's like, if you really want to know.

 

Not bad except for the nagging question of why are they adding background sounds to these? I mean, if the speech quality is awesome but they're playing some banjo behind it, is the speech quality still excellent?

 

I remember one batch which was so clean and nice this last week. It was a good change from all the horrible background noises.

 

Also, they have a 60 minute timer, so you can take a break when needed/in case of a family urgency, even mid-HIT.

It depends on how smooth and audible the speech is. I generally rate how hard it is to hear the person talking and whether I hear every word clearly, so long as the noise isn't overpowering the majority of the words, I give it a pass.

 

This sounds like my first marriage.

But I take back that "I'm kidding" part.

 

Same. I was starting to think I was being too hard on them rating fairs and goods for speech audio quality that I knew could be better. And then yesterday (or this morning, I forget) I had a batch that was all top notch. It was beautiful. (Except for the attention check that forced me to select poor for one.)

I mean, if his time estimate for it coming back online is famously wrong, why would he worry about being prompt with pulling the plug?

 

I don't enjoy the book reading recordings as much, no small clip samples for a mini break.
