Yes, but so many people will not respect your space nor anyone else's. Then they bring their kids and pets. Which before was fine and fun. They are not shopping. Empty baskets but browsing for an outing. A guy returned a .05 cent screw. He came in the store just for that. Its that crap that is unreal.

 

Those stores are always packed right now, I think all the time off made people want to do their deck projects or something.

 

We are now clicker counting and made as many safety items as we could. Announcements, floor tape, shields on registers. People are shopping for flowers. Chatting in the aisles. Can you please just come get your stuff and go? They are using the place to socialize. Not cool.

Yes, but to remain open we must follow the rules. So that makes everyone testy and add that to retail which in itself can get that way. It becomes much more challenging.

 

However, for the most part I love my job. I like people coming in and chatting with them. I love the pictures they bring me of finished projects. I like finding them the things they need. I like to sell them brand new big ticket items. Who isn't happy to have a big new fridge? This shall pass but wow its gonna be a long haul.
