05/14 - Jamming Thursday!

There's a local produce wholesaler here that is open to the public on Wednesdays, and bc of Covid, nobody can go in to go shopping right now. They started putting together boxes of assorted produce for $20 a box, for 20 pounds of fresh, local veg and fruit.

I've been getting a couple of boxes every week, and it's so great! There's always something in there that I don't usually buy, but you know I'm going to use it 'cause I ain't about to be wasting food money with 11 people in the house, lol.

Anyway, now every Wednesday is a big salad for dinner with lots of stuff in it, and Thursday is a nice vegetable soup.

 

since when? O.O mine is the reason i eat like 2x salads a day in the summer when i can get farmers market salad ingredients for pennies

I must have had a crappy knock-off back in the day then, it would only really chop hard stuff, like onions and garlic, maybe celery.
But you had to cut stuff up small enough to fit in the dang thing anyway, so I would just cut it all up with a knife and gave away the chopper.
