I know that Requesters have been increasingly using attention checks as a basis to reject HITs. I personally think this practice is harmful to the Requester/Worker dynamic, and there is some evidence that it actually reduces data quality.
So there are no attention checks in this study. Instead, I will be giving bonuses of$0.30 to workers who make reasonable efforts on the questions that ask you to type in examples of certain situations that you come up with yourself.
