They work against you in that it effects your approval percentage so you have to make sure you have enough approved hits to offset possible rejections especially before doing any scared money batches.

I have over 150,000 approved so I have some cushion not as much as I'd like but working on building that back up

 

Rejections are why when you are early in turking, a good penny batch that can be done fast isn't really for the money it's for the padding to be able to take some risks for money.

Rejections aren't what to worry about, if a requester hits you with a block, and not by taking a qual as that's a nice way to do it, but a hard block that can be an issue. Get a few of those and Amazon will be reviewing your account.
