05/28 - What day is it Thursday?

Hi! I will finish the task because I know that incomplete data can damage some research studies. I won't submit* the actual hit if my timer is expiring soon but I will email the requester after I'm done/hits expired through the Contact Requester link and let them know that my timer ran out and I did not submit the actual hit but finished my work. Depending on the pay of the hit, I will politely ask if there was a way to be compensated (such as through a compensation hit) but that I understand if not and hope that they do! (If it's just a couple cents, I'll let the requester decide without mentioning it.) It works out and I get compensated maybe 75% of the time!

*I have about 12000 hits with 0 rejections and I try very hard to keep it that way which is why I don't risk submitting before I finish. Others might disagree with my approach though!

I won't clog up the board with a bunch of replies, but I do appreciate everyone's thoughts! I am firmly in the same mindset as morweeg in that everyone should be paid for their time, so I always try to exhaust every mechanism possible to make sure people get paid for doing our studies (plus, I'll admit...I want to use your data! Ha ).

At the very least, I'm going to try putting a big bold message at the very top of our HIT description to let people know they can finish outside the HIT 'window' and still get paid if they had already started. Thanks again for humoring me out here, and I hope all of your work today goes well.
