Dear folks,
Yesterday, for the second time in two years, I had my best friend of the moment suddenly drop dead.
I'll probably be a little weirder than normal (I know! Right?) for a while.
Sorry to be a bring-down, but I thought it was worth mentioning that being a Boomer
isn't always as easy as it looks! Boy. Talk about a 'Monday morning'.

I think that is probably one of the worst things to "accept". Only time makes a difference unfortunately

 

I lost my cousin when I was 17 or 18. He was only 1 year older than me, and basically the big brother I never had. We were very close as kids and all that. It didn't truly register until a year later for me. I didn't go to his funeral because I simply couldn't do it, so when I finally visited his resting place a year later I just lost it. I still think about him probably every single day.
