I remember naps. We got to about two. Now he usually gets up about 6 a.m and just gets so tired he is a little crazy person by donner

but for real, busy toddler is the jam. We have done soooo many activities with him off of there.

 

Oh jeez - yeah. Rosacea and acne are totally different creatures.

Having adult onset acne (which I've had) is 100% different from rosacea.

Rosacea involves your blood vessels in your face. And the flushing you get happens when you least (or at least for me) when I least expect it.

My husband said the same thing when I was like, wait - you didn't tell me that my face was always red? And he said the same thing - I thought you knew!

The blotches are definitely not acne and I've tried a number of different treatments.

My last derm recommended driving to Portland and laser-ing my face - which I decided was not a good option.

I've found a really good skin cream (DM me if you want) - but mostly I have found that it is hard to control and just work to keep my skin moisturized and use a lot of Aveeno products, etc.

 

Ah, thanks! Yeah, the makeup has basically been my go-to for years, on top of being psychotically strict about good skin care. Honestly, I feel a lot better knowing there's a reason! The derm said she was confused, because I had good habits and was still constantly patchy and breaking out, so she made me keep a diary and take pictures and fill out questionaires every week and I'm glad I did

I read that link as busty toddler and was like WTF. Maybe I need more coffee

 

I tried the coconut oil and then found out that I was allergic to it - so recommendation is small amount to start.

If I steam my face or am too hot the rosacea is worse so have been going with cool compresses to keep the blood vessels constricted and from "blooming".

The pillow though has been key at night and I am glad @SunlitSunflower mentioned that. I found a cooling pillow that I have been sleeping on that helps a LOT.

Jumping in late...

Oh gosh don't get a ball pit.

Those balls get gross REALLY FAST and her friends will want to play in it when she has playdates and accidents happen and those things are a Grinch to clean.

Get her this instead, lol. Can be hosed off. My kid got one when he was two and used it through I think second grade then I turned around and resold it for $100. We used the hell out of it for playdates and parties and random stuff and adults can go in it (unless they're really overweight) and I'm sure I have a pic of me in it with littleKiddo.

balls are easy to clean imo! Take them all and put them into a laundry basket. Put that into the bathtub full of warm water and a cup or two of bleach/vinegar. Swirl them around for a bit and let them soak. Drain the water and then shake the basket!
