Just reached into the towels in my laundry bin down in the basement and a mouse ran across my arm.

Currently setting snap traps (plastic and wood) and motion sensors. Any other advice?

I'll never be the same.

I had mice issues in the farm house for a it. We used this on all traps set and got 8 mice(including a pregnant mom) in 2 days.
Remember to set the traps along walls and runs. You need to set the traps where the run around not just in the middle of the room. If you see trails of poop set the traps there with the baited part facing the wall so it snaps towards their location.
DO NOT LET THE BODY SIT FOR MORE THEN A COUPLE HOURS. IT WILL MELT QUICKLY.
We found that out the hard way. We thought we heard it snap in the night and then next morning had to head out quickly. In that single day the fur and skin had started to melt off and left a spot on the tile. That wasn't fun.
Do not reuse traps even if they say the can be reused. It doesn't snap as hard imo the second time and we had to put one down that was just suffering in the trap.
Try and find any nests that you can. It'll just look like a large pile of fluff.
If I think of anything else I'll let you know! Mice have been an on going war.

Mouse is just a cutesy name for plague-carrying, infesting rodent creature.

 

It's rats that carry the plague, and fortunately for us in the first world and outside of certain regions of Mongolia, it's no longer that big a deal.
