I dunno, I feel like the kids that don't trust their parents enough that they need to lie constantly might be the weirdos here.

 

That's a bit of both ways, I think all teens have a tendency to lie or at least not give you the entire story. But at the same time trying to establish a relationship where your kids can talk to you is important.

 

Just picked a blackberry off our bush because it looked okay to me. Ate it. Sour as FUCK. Husband laughed and was like 'yeah it's cause they aren't ready yet'. Those little berries have been sitting there taunting me to eat them for like a week now! How long does it take to turn into full black berries. RRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I WANT TO EAT THEM.

Tbh, I kind of enjoy berries before theyre ripened all the way. They have a sort of crunch and sweetness that is enjoyable. For example - pink mulberries.

It was kinda crunchy and REALLY tart. I liked the crunch but still a little too tart imo
I'm trying to identify the 3 other large berry bushes on our fence line as well. He keeps making me wait till they fully turn red/ pink before I can try one. I want to try one now. Looks like thorny raspberries. The berries are tempting me.

 

I'm straight up untrained to be giving this advice - and I sure as heck am not going to be responsible enough to google it - but I'm pretty sure that if it looks like a raspberry (like the clusterness of it) - it's safe to eat.
