Laundry should stay in the dryer until you need to dry new clothes. Then, the clothes from the dryer should be moved to the clean laundry basket until it's empty.

Nah if you don't move it after the dryer, it remains in its final fluffed position so it doesn't wrinkle too bad

Okay.... I admit I threw in "folding laundry" to offset the cooking husband is doing to make me seem more cool.

I currently have three laundry baskets in the hall we live out of and one next to the bed.

In fact when the current torrential washer failure happened we were digging through baskets throwing clothes on the floor to find enough towels to mop up the kazillion gallons.

I am adamantly #teamnofold

Although @AlexZ - I DO take the garbage out, etc, etc,

 

I feel so much better knowing this!

Like. I take the laundry from the machine to the bedroom, plop them on the bed, open all the draws and fold everything while putting it away the moment that I've finished them. Fold yo shit! Or! Hang yo shit! If it doesn't fit in the chest of drawers it goes into the closet to be hung.

Full disclosure I used to be team fold and hang etc - however.... once we started having to move from room to room to complete massive renovations - things quickly went to team "get it clean and do whatever you can to live out of rotating laundry baskets".

And I am perfectly okay with that.

Also half of our shirts and clothes right now are sopping up ceiling water so....... yay baskets.....

All I had to do was just dump a basket instead of looking for those pesky folded towels....

 

Seriously. You don't do laundry!
